The Concert, LDAP, Python and life in general.
So, I went to the {“Ralph Mayers”,”Kaizer”,”Dandy Warholes”}-concert here the
other day with my neighbor. Somehow it seemed like the two first bands
payed the good Uka-folks kroner*(sqr-feet-used*minutes).
Either that or Ralph Mayers and Kaizers had a running bet on which band
could stay the most of the floor and on their instruments and or crates.
Musically the two first bands wasn’t all that, Ralphs with just one drum beat
throughout the whole hour, and Kaizers which was only one huge sound.
By far, Dandy was the one with the best sound, but after one hour I thought they
started repeated themselves. But to their defense it seemed like they had planned
material for one hour only.
All in all, okay, but not super.
On the Python/LDAP side I’ve started hacking together a simple
little script which gets the set of users from LDAP and another
one from SQL ( not implemented yet, but coming there ) and
prints out the diff. between those two.
The scaring bit is that I’m beginning to be quite productive in
python, and I’m starting to like her. ( Please don’t tell
my C/ASM friends that )
Next: Implement a way to extract all the users from MySQL. Pondering
upon using SQLObject
which seems quite sexxxy.
